NICHT VERPASSEN: Die „60s Pop Pirate Extravaganza“ am 14.8.2007 ab Mitternacht!

On a steamy hot summer night in the middle of August. We bring to you this one and only presentation of the 1960s ‚Pop Pirate Extravaganza‘ The Original Final day on Radio London as Broadcast on August the 14th 1967 from the Radio London Ship The M.V.“Galaxy“ on 266 meters medium wave band …

When the „Marine Offences Act“ came into force on the 14 August 1967, it was a very sad day for radio-broadcasting in Britain, because most of the Nothsea based offshore pirate radio stations had to close down their service. August 14, 1967 was the end of an era of radio-piracy, which made the 60s swinging. Most of the pirates went off air, including one of the flagships of the beat-fleet: WONDERFUL RADIO LONDON.

On this the 40th anniversary of this important day in radio-history.Frozen-Radio offers you a very special program! We will let resurge the ghosts of the Sixtees Pirates, and bring you the last Day, the last night and the final hour of Big L. Yes, This is no joke: it will be the original shows of the very last day. That means there will be 18 hours of original material until the very last words; „BigL time is now three o’clock, and Radio London is closing down“.
